That is why early dog training and socialisation are so important. Therefore, I focus on speciality training for puppies who are 2 to 12 months old.

Dogs go through different developmental phases. So, we have a variety of class options depending on the age of your puppy.

At every age and every stage, we cater to your puppy training requirements.

Puppy training classes are now in Hebersham, Blacktown. This is just 15 minutes away from where we used to train in St Clair, Penrith. The classes are for puppies who are 2 to 12 months old.

8 to 14 weeks old

At this age, puppies are in their secondary socialisation phase. The socialisation phase is the most important development period in terms of preventing future problems. Socialisation can act as a behaviour vaccination against problem behaviours. But only if it’s done right.
You need an experienced and qualified canine behaviour expert to guide you. These puppies need to be handled with care. You will get more bang for your buck going to an industry leading preschool or socialisation class.
When your puppy is 8 to 14 weeks old, they are able to come to a puppy training class. We have preschool or socialisation only options.

15 to 24 weeks old

At this age, puppies are known as juveniles. Puppies in the juvenile phase become progressively more fearful and reluctant to approach novelty and unfamiliar people. Ongoing socialisation is important. Though this is tricky to handle, especially if your puppy missed out on socialisation or preschool at 8 to 14 weeks old. That’s why our Kindy puppy training class is the best.
We provide safe socialisation experiences to puppies. We cater for puppies who were socialised at preschool and those who were not. This dog training program builds on good manners training for those who went to preschool. And it gives you the best start to training if you did not. Problem prevention is again a focus. It’s cheaper and easier to stop problems before they become a bad habit or serious nuisance.

6 to 12 months old

Dogs get difficult when they reach adolescents, just like human teenagers.
Your dog is now transitioning through the adolescent phase. They are also known as teenagers. They are growing up physically, but not so much mentally. At first you were the centre of your dog’s world – not anymore. Puppies will follow you around when young, but your puppy is getting bigger and more independent now. Your dog may look like a big adult, but they are not yet socially mature. Dogs may also experience a second fear period through this age range. So, you’ve still got to be careful with training and socialisation.
Training problems and abnormal behaviours are more pronounced during this period. If you haven’t gotten on top of your problem prevention training, you’ll start to have more issues with that now.  

The adolescent period actually goes from around 6 months to 2 to 3 years. It varies per individual/breed/size dog. Teenage dogs are more likely to be relinquished to shelters and euthanised for behavioural problems than any other age range.
